Dr. Valerie Leff completed her undergraduate education at the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She furthered her education by obtaining a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, graduating at the top of her class! Dr. Leff always had a passion for learning and healthcare. After she discovered the field of optometry, she knew she was meant to be an optometrist. Dr. Leff believes that “vision is such an amazing thing, and I wanted to be able to make a difference in patients’ lives.” Outside of work Dr. Leff enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and swimming! She also loves to spend time with her husband and dog.
Cameron Bargell, O.D., completed his undergraduate degree at Hastings College, earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He attended Indiana University, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2021. Dr. Bargell enjoys treating patients of all ages who present a variety of eye conditions. Every patient visit is unique and brings new and exciting challenges each day.
Since becoming an Optometrist, his fields of special interest include contact lenses and myopia control. Dr. Bargell began wearing contact lenses at a young age and remembers struggling with proper contact lens hygiene. After being treated by an optometrist for corneal ulcers, his personal experience reinforced his growing interest in the eyecare profession.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Bargell enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, playing golf, watching Husker football, and traveling.
